Q. What methods are used to remove the existing finish? A. Media Blasting: the use of environmentally friendly media such as sand, glass or ice A. Ozzing (Sanding): with an Osborne brush or buffing pads on a variable speed angle grinder "Existing finish removal is one of the most important steps in the restoration process and plays an vital role in the appearance and durability of new finish"
Q. How much would it cost to restore a log home? A. Each log home or wood sided cottage is unique and the cost of restoration is dependent on various factors like landscape, size and design or if there are additional structures like decks, garage, sheds, pergola and extra works such as rotten log(s)/siding replacement, wood treatment etc. The restoration process requires a lot of man power and equipment such as man lifts, scaffolding, compressors, etc. Contact us and get a free estimate.
Q. How long does the finish last on a building A. The durability of stain on the building depends on various factors such as the amount of sun radiation burning the walls, dust, pollen and humidity that eventually brings about mold. Three full stain coats are applied on the building and come with a Seven (5) year manufactures warranty "considering application instructions are followed." Regular exterior cleaning helps to achieve maximum product performance.
